International Bridge Approved

I just heard in the news that the Mexican Government approved construction of the Anzalduas Bridge. The bridge will be located south of Mission. It will be a three mile long bridge. The bridge is expected to open in September 2008. I understand that it will not have commercial traffic at first, but it's expected that it will eventually. It will be four lanes wide. I don't know if it will have a sidewalk, but 3 miles? I hope they install rest areas every mile or so.

3 Mile and Conway Development

The area around 3 Mile Line and Conway Ave are developing very nicely. Wal-Mart has brought about much change since it opened. The area around the corner now has a taqueria, Radio Shack, and a Subway, amongst other shops. Across the street, crews have already erected the walls for the new Walgreens. There is other development around town as well.

HEB was supposed to move across the corner on 495 from the old Albertson's location to the old Carl's location, but nothing has happened yet.
