Don't Forget to Vote November 8th

The Progress Times has an article with information about what propositions are on the ballot for November 8th. Don't forget to go vote.

Be careful with Proposition 2. There were recent misleading campaigns that tell you "don't risk it, vote against it". The whole "risk" was a misrepresentation. They don't really tell you what "it" is. Prop 2 basically defines marriage as being between a man and a woman. It also forbids Texas lawmakers from making any laws or regulations that create marriage-like unions like what some states call Civil Unions. The proposition does not in any way affect traditional marriage other than make the tradition official and unchangeable to any other form. Those who opposed Proposition 2 seek to ensure that gay marriage will be a possibility in the future. Of course, if you support gay marriage, vote against Proposition 2. If you are against gay marriage, or other variations of marriage, vote for Proposition 2 in peace. You won't affect the way marriage is done presently or in the future as was misrepresented.
